This Cookie Policy explains how sewerlinelab.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site remember things between page loads — that you dismissed a banner, which consent choices you made, or, in the case of advertising cookies, that a browser has seen a particular ad before. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and software development kits; where we refer to “cookies” below, we mean all of them.
The four categories we use
1. Functional (strictly necessary)
These make the site work and remember your privacy choices. They cannot be switched off through the banner, because without them the site cannot function or cannot honour your consent decision. Typical examples: the cookie that stores your consent record, and session cookies used when an editor logs in to the administration area. Lifetime: from the end of the session up to 12 months for the consent record.
2. Statistics
These help us count visits and understand which guides are actually useful — which pages are read to the end, which search terms lead here, which devices are used. The data is aggregated; we do not try to identify individuals. Provider: Google Analytics 4. Typical lifetime: up to 24 months.
3. Marketing / advertising
Set by our advertising partners to select ads, limit how often the same ad is repeated, and measure whether an ad campaign worked. Provider: Google AdSense and its authorised partners under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Typical lifetime: from a few days up to 24 months, depending on the partner.
4. Preferences
Remember display choices — for example whether you paused the price ticker. Lifetime: up to 12 months.
Cookies set by third parties
| Provider | Purpose | Category | More information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense | Selecting, capping and measuring display advertising | Marketing | Google partner sites policy |
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate audience measurement | Statistics | Google Privacy Policy |
| Google Fonts | Serving the typefaces used by the site | Functional | Google Privacy Policy |
The consent management platform used on this site maintains a live, automatically scanned list of every cookie actually present. If a cookie appears there that is not described above, the scanned list is authoritative and this page is updated to match.
Managing your consent
When you first arrive from a region where consent is required, a banner asks which categories you accept. You can accept all, refuse all non-essential cookies, or choose category by category.
You can change your mind at any time by reopening the consent settings from the link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent stops further processing; it does not retroactively erase what was already collected, although you can request deletion under the Privacy Policy.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies independently of any website. Blocking all cookies will stop advertising and statistics cookies, and may also prevent the site from remembering your consent choice — meaning the banner reappears on each visit.

Opting out of personalized advertising
Independently of this site, you can turn off ad personalization across Google products at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many vendors at once at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu. You will still see ads; they will simply be less relevant.
Changes
This policy is reviewed whenever the site’s tooling changes. The revision date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
