Quotes and invoices
The single most valuable thing a reader can send us is a real quote or a paid invoice, with the city, the run length, the depth if known, and the method. Redact your name and address — we only need the numbers. This is how our state ranges get tighter, and contributors are credited on the Data Sources page if they want to be.
Corrections
If a figure looks wrong, tell us which page, which figure, and why. If you have a source, include it. We check every correction, fix what is wrong, and note material changes on the page itself. This matters more to us than politeness — a wrong number here costs somebody real money.
Local rules we have missed
Point-of-sale lateral inspection requirements, backflow testing mandates, cost-share programmes and permit regimes vary town by town and change often. If your municipality does something our guides do not describe, we want to know.
